                                                                  Access

Stables is on the ground floor and completely level, including access from the car park which is immediately outside the cottage. It's not possible to push a wheelchair into the apartment due to the right angled turn from the entrance hall. Gables is unsuitable for those with restricted mobility; there are stairs to the first floor and further steps along the landing, into the bedroom and into the kitchen. From Magnolia Cottage it's a 10 minute walk to the beach, seafront, and high street. It's an easy stroll, mainly level with a slight incline over the steam railway bridge. The long, rambling layout of the cottage works well as holiday accommodation, giving everyone their own space and privacy. We live in the central part of the house, Stables is at the east end, with its own entrance around the side of the house, and Gables is at the west end, accessed through the main entrance hall.

Parking

There are three clearly marked parking spaces on the drive and you may park in any. There will always be a space for you. You're welcome to leave the car here all day. Please let us know if you plan to bring more than one car.

Shops

Sheringham high street is a 10 minute walk away and has over 90 independent shops to browse. There are two excellent butchers, two greengrocers, a fish shop and seafood stall. There's a Tesco Superstore and Sainsbury's Local a 10 minute walk away and a Spar just round the corner. Also within a 10 minute walk are six pubs, seven restaurants and a bustling twice weekly market (Sat/Wed).

Public Transport

Public transport here is unusually good and very convenient. The half hourly Sanders buses to Holt, Cromer and Overstrand run past the house and stop just yards down the road. A 5 minute walk round the corner on Station Approach are the Norwich bus and the Coasthopper bus, which runs along the length of the coast from Cromer to King's Lynn, stopping at every village -a good way to walk the coast path in sections. The Bittern Line train through the Broads villages to Norwich is a 10 minute walk away, as is the steam train.
